Auditions / Tryouts will occur between Nov. 30 - Dec. 3 for NSDA and UIL varsity teams. Schedule is below.

Rules:
Cut a three minute selection to be read from an interp book for prose/poetry/POI (It may be a piece you already have cut for any of those events, but you must cut it to time).
​
Cut a three minute monologue to be performed without a book for dramatic interp, humorous interp, or duo (It may be a selection you already have cut/performed for any of those events, but you must cut it to time).

Note: If you are auditioning for both, you must perform two different selections.

Rules: Students will be given five topics in the audition room. They will choose one to speak on. They will have 4 minutes to prepare a 3 minute speech. Additionally, students will take a current issues and events quiz.

Rules: Students will be asked to prepare a 4 minute original oratory or informative speech. The entire speech needs to be written, prepared and memorized.
